The Stone

See the natural beauty of Calacatta Hermitage up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

A warm white porcelain enriched with amber-gold and honey-brown veining — richer and warmer than any typical Calacatta.

Calacatta Hermitage elevates the classic Calacatta aesthetic with an unusually warm and complex vein palette. Amber-gold, honey-brown, and soft grey tones flow together in thick, diagonal rivers that branch and merge across the warm white surface. Occasional rust-orange accents deepen the warmth further, creating a surface that feels decidedly more residential and inviting than cooler Calacatta interpretations. The interplay between the gold and grey veining adds layers of visual complexity that reveal new details with every viewing angle. This surface works beautifully in kitchens where warmth is a design priority — paired with timber cabinetry, brass hardware, or natural stone flooring. Crafted by Gruppo Concorde in Italy at 3200 × 1600mm, it offers the generous coverage needed for seamless kitchen worktops and full-height feature walls.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Calacatta Hermitage

What makes Infinity Calacatta Hermitage special?
Calacatta Hermitage offers one of the most refined and carefully composed Calacatta interpretations in the Infinity range. Its bright white base features medium-weight grey veining with exceptional clarity and definition. The veining has an almost illustrative quality — precise, deliberate strokes that feel both natural and curated.
What inspired the name Hermitage?
Hermitage references the world-famous Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, one of the world's great art collections housed in extraordinary 18th-century Baroque palace buildings. The name evokes classical refinement, artistic perfection, and the kind of timeless elegance that transcends trend and fashion.
Is Infinity Calacatta Hermitage suitable for a luxury bathroom?
Calacatta Hermitage is an outstanding choice for luxury bathrooms. Its refined white-and-grey palette creates a bright, spacious atmosphere while the defined veining adds character and visual interest. The sintered porcelain body is completely impervious to water, making it ideal for vanity tops, shower walls, and bath surrounds.
How does Infinity Calacatta Hermitage handle food stains?
Calacatta Hermitage handles food stains with absolute ease. The sintered porcelain surface has zero porosity, so turmeric, beetroot, red wine, coffee, and all other staining substances sit on the surface and wipe clean without leaving any trace. This is a significant advantage over natural Calacatta marble, which stains readily.
What thickness works best for a Hermitage worktop?
The 20mm thickness is the standard choice for kitchen worktops, providing a substantial edge profile and reassuring solidity. The 12mm works well for contemporary designs where a slimmer profile is preferred. Both thicknesses offer identical surface quality and performance characteristics.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
