The Stone

See the natural beauty of Calacatta Oro up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

A luminous white porcelain balanced with silver-grey and honey-gold veining — the quintessential Italian Calacatta in porcelain form.

Calacatta Oro is the quintessential Calacatta expression — a luminous white surface traced with veining that balances cool silver-grey and warm honey-gold in perfect harmony. The veins flow vertically in long, confident strokes that feel both natural and architectural, defined enough to make a statement yet restrained enough to work in virtually any design context. This balance of cool and warm gives Calacatta Oro a remarkable versatility: it pairs equally well with stainless steel or brass, with painted cabinetry or natural timber, with minimalist fixtures or ornate period details. Crafted by Gruppo Concorde in Italy, the 3200 × 1600mm slab format ensures seamless joins across large worktops, and the sintered porcelain composition provides absolute protection against staining, etching, and heat damage.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Calacatta Oro

What makes Infinity Calacatta Oro a classic Calacatta?
Calacatta Oro embodies the quintessential Calacatta marble aesthetic through a luminous white surface traced with veining that perfectly balances cool silver-grey and warm honey-gold. The veins flow vertically in long, confident strokes that feel both natural and architectural. This balance of warm and cool tones is the hallmark of the finest Italian Calacatta marbles.
What hardware finishes complement Infinity Calacatta Oro?
Calacatta Oro's balanced palette of grey and gold veining gives it exceptional versatility with hardware. Brushed brass and warm gold hardware echo the honey-gold veining beautifully. Chrome and polished nickel pick up the cool grey tones. Even matte black hardware works well, creating a contemporary contrast against the white base. This adaptability is one of the surface's greatest strengths.
Is Infinity Calacatta Oro available in Polished finish?
Yes, Calacatta Oro is available in both Satin and Polished finishes. The Polished finish is particularly popular as it maximises the visual depth of the grey and gold veining, creating a mirror-like surface that adds glamour and sophistication. The Satin finish offers a more understated elegance that is slightly more practical for busy family kitchens.
How does Infinity Calacatta Oro perform in a white kitchen?
Calacatta Oro is a stunning choice for white kitchens. The white base blends seamlessly with white cabinetry while the grey and gold veining provides all the visual interest and character. The warm gold tones add a touch of luxury that prevents an all-white scheme from feeling sterile, creating a kitchen that feels bright, spacious, and effortlessly sophisticated.
Can I use Infinity Calacatta Oro on a kitchen island with a waterfall edge?
Calacatta Oro is an excellent choice for waterfall-edge island designs. The vertical veining flows naturally down the waterfall sides, creating a continuous visual effect from the horizontal surface to the vertical edges. The 12mm thickness is often chosen for waterfall designs to create a sleek, minimalist profile, though the 20mm provides a more substantial, traditional look.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
