The Stone

See the natural beauty of Iconic Cipollino up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

Colour:

Green Grey

A painterly porcelain of swirling blue-green and grey ribbons — sinuous Italian craftsmanship inspired by rare Cipollino marble.

Iconic Cipollino is a living artwork in porcelain — flowing ribbons of muted blue-green, grey, cream, and sage fold and curl across the surface like geological strata viewed from the sky. The movement is extraordinary: thick, sinuous bands of colour interweave in a way that feels deeply organic and endlessly fascinating to contemplate. The palette is cool and sophisticated, with layers of grey-blue merging into pale celadon and warm cream in a constant, rhythmic conversation. Inspired by the rare Cipollino marble quarried in the Apuan Alps, this Infinity surface captures its distinctive folded character in a format that no natural stone can match — a single 3200 × 1600mm slab with consistent colour and pattern. As sintered porcelain, it is completely impervious to staining, scratching, and heat, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic commercial interiors.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Iconic Cipollino

What is the pattern like on Infinity Iconic Cipollino?
Iconic Cipollino features extraordinarily flowing, sinuous ribbons of muted blue-green, grey, cream, and sage that fold and curl across the surface like geological strata viewed from above. The movement is exceptional — thick bands of colour interweave in a way that feels deeply organic and endlessly fascinating. It is one of the most movement-rich surfaces in the Infinity collection.
What marble is Infinity Iconic Cipollino inspired by?
Iconic Cipollino takes its inspiration from Cipollino marble, historically quarried in the Apuan Alps of Tuscany. Cipollino — meaning 'little onion' in Italian — refers to the distinctive folded, layered character of the stone that resembles the cross-section of an onion. Infinity's porcelain version captures this unique banded character in a consistent, large-format slab.
Is Infinity Iconic Cipollino available in a polished finish?
Yes, Iconic Cipollino is available in both Satin and Polished finishes. The Polished finish particularly enhances the flowing ribbons of blue-green, grey, and cream by adding depth and reflectivity to the surface, making the colours appear richer and the movement more dynamic. The Satin finish offers a softer, more understated interpretation.
How large is the Infinity Iconic Cipollino slab?
Iconic Cipollino is produced in the generous 3200 x 1600mm format standard across the Infinity collection. This large slab size is particularly advantageous for Cipollino, as its flowing, ribboned pattern benefits from being displayed on the largest possible surface area. Bigger installations allow the sinuous bands of colour to stretch out and create their full visual impact.
Does Infinity Iconic Cipollino work with modern kitchen designs?
Iconic Cipollino bridges traditional and contemporary design effortlessly. Its cool blue-green palette and sinuous movement feel distinctly modern, while its inspiration from classical Italian marble gives it timeless credibility. It pairs beautifully with both handleless contemporary cabinetry and more traditional framed kitchen designs, making it one of the most versatile decorative surfaces in the range.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
