The Stone

See the natural beauty of Nero Marquinia up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this porcelain unique.

Colour:

Black

A refined black porcelain with precise white veining — the timeless power of Marquina marble in indestructible Italian ceramic.

Nero Marquinia is the embodiment of refined power — a deep, inky black surface cut by precise white veining that traces elegant diagonal paths across the slab. The veins are thin and exact, like calligraphic strokes drawn with a silver pen on black paper. The contrast is clean and resolute, creating a surface that feels both minimal and monumental. Inspired by the celebrated Marquina marble from the Basque Country, Infinity's porcelain interpretation offers the same commanding presence in a format that is impervious to staining, etching, and thermal shock. This surface wants to be the anchor of a space — a midnight-black kitchen island, a dramatic bathroom feature wall, or a sleek commercial reception counter. Manufactured in Italy at 3200 × 1600mm with three thickness options.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Nero Marquinia

What natural stone inspired Infinity Nero Marquinia?
Nero Marquinia is inspired by the famous Nero Marquina marble from the Basque region of Spain. This prestigious black marble with distinctive white veining has been used in European luxury architecture for centuries. Infinity's porcelain version captures its striking black-and-white contrast while eliminating the porosity and maintenance demands of the natural stone.
Does Infinity Nero Marquinia show water marks?
On the Polished finish, water marks can be temporarily visible as the surface dries, though they wipe away instantly and leave no permanent mark. The Satin finish is more forgiving and conceals water marks better. Neither finish will absorb water or leave permanent staining, as the sintered porcelain surface has zero water absorption.
What style of bathroom suits Infinity Nero Marquinia?
Nero Marquinia creates stunning bathrooms in both contemporary and Art Deco styles. Its bold black base with crisp white veining pairs beautifully with polished chrome fixtures for a modern look, or with brushed gold taps and mirrors for a more glamorous, vintage-inspired aesthetic. It is particularly effective used floor-to-ceiling to create an immersive luxury bathroom experience.
Is Infinity Nero Marquinia scratch-resistant?
Yes, Nero Marquinia offers outstanding scratch resistance. Sintered porcelain is one of the hardest surface materials available, significantly harder than natural marble and comparable to granite. Normal kitchen and bathroom use will not leave visible scratches. Even a sharp knife drawn across the surface is unlikely to leave a mark, though using chopping boards remains recommended.
Can Infinity Nero Marquinia be used on floors?
Yes, the 20mm thickness of Nero Marquinia can be used for floor applications in both residential and commercial settings. Its extreme hardness, stain resistance, and durability make it suitable for high-traffic areas. The dramatic black-and-white pattern creates a stunning floor that rivals natural marble in beauty while vastly outperforming it in practical resilience.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
