The Stone

See the natural beauty of Ceniza up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Grey

A confident mid-grey quartz with a polished concrete quality — clean, contemporary, and industrially refined with zero veining or pattern.

Ceniza is the definitive concrete-inspired quartz surface in the Compac range. Its medium grey tone is completely uniform — no veining, no speckles, no tonal variation — just consistent, cool mid-grey from edge to edge. The very fine granular texture gives it just enough surface character to feel like real polished concrete rather than a painted surface. The shade sits firmly in the cool grey spectrum, reminiscent of ash or polished cement, making it a natural partner for industrial-chic interiors, minimalist kitchens, and contemporary bathroom vanities. Manufactured by COMPAC in Spain from 93-95% natural quartz crystals, Ceniza is completely non-porous and certified to NSF and Greenguard standards. Unlike genuine concrete worktops — which are porous, prone to staining, and require constant sealing — Ceniza offers the same industrial aesthetic with none of the headaches. The 25-year residential warranty and 10-year commercial warranty make it a confident choice for both domestic and commercial installations.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Ceniza

What colour is Compac Ceniza?
Ceniza — meaning ash in Spanish — is a solid, uniform medium grey with absolutely no veining, speckling, or pattern variation. It delivers a clean, contemporary grey surface that sits comfortably between the darker Plomo and the lighter tones of the collection. The polished finish adds a subtle sheen that catches light without being overtly reflective.
Is Ceniza a good everyday kitchen colour?
Ceniza is one of the most practical colours in the entire Compac range. Medium grey is exceptionally forgiving of crumbs, water marks, light scuffs, and the general visual noise of a busy kitchen. Unlike white or black surfaces, grey hides almost everything. Combined with the stain resistance of quartz, Ceniza is a supremely liveable surface.
What cabinet colours complement Ceniza?
White cabinetry creates a fresh, clean contrast that lets Ceniza anchor the kitchen with quiet confidence. Deep navy adds richness and sophistication. Pale pink or blush provides an unexpected contemporary pairing. For a tonal scheme, lighter and darker greys in cabinetry and walls create elegant depth. Both brushed brass and polished chrome hardware complement Ceniza perfectly.
How does Ceniza compare to Plomo and Nocturno?
Ceniza, Plomo, and Nocturno form a graduated tonal scale within the Compac Classic collection. Ceniza is the lightest — a comfortable mid-grey. Plomo is noticeably darker — a commanding charcoal. Nocturno is the darkest — a near-black. All three are completely uniform solid surfaces with no veining or pattern. Choose based on how light or dark you want your grey.
Can Ceniza be used as a bathroom vanity surface?
Absolutely. Ceniza's clean grey tone creates a sophisticated, spa-like atmosphere in bathrooms and en-suites. The completely non-porous surface handles water, soap, and cosmetics without any risk of staining or water damage. It pairs beautifully with white sanitaryware, chrome or matt black brassware, and both light and dark wall tiles.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
