The Stone

See the natural beauty of Glaciar up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

White

The purest white in the Compac range — an immaculate, unadorned surface with zero veining that creates a pristine canvas for any design scheme.

Glaciar is pure white simplicity — a completely uniform, uninterrupted white surface with zero veining, zero patterning, and zero tonal variation of any kind. This is as close to a perfect blank canvas as engineered quartz gets. The smooth, consistent finish has no visible granular texture or sparkle, making Glaciar the ideal choice for ultra-minimalist kitchens where the worktop should recede and let cabinetry, appliances, and accessories define the space. It is also an excellent clinical surface for bathroom vanities and medical or commercial environments where clean, bright surfaces are essential. COMPAC manufactures Glaciar in Spain from 93-95% natural quartz crystals, producing a surface that is completely non-porous, fully stain-resistant, and certified to both NSF and Greenguard standards. The 25-year residential warranty provides long-term confidence. Glaciar pairs particularly well with bold-coloured splashbacks, dark timber, or metallic fixtures where the pure white creates striking contrast.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Glaciar

What makes Glaciar different from Absolute Blanc?
While both are white, they have subtly different characters. Absolute Blanc is a perfectly flat, uniform pure white with no texture whatsoever. Glaciar has a very faint micro-texture — barely perceptible fine particles that give it a gentle, almost crystalline depth. In practical terms, Glaciar feels fractionally more natural and less clinical than Absolute Blanc.
Will Glaciar make my kitchen feel bigger?
Yes. Bright white surfaces are one of the most effective ways to visually expand a kitchen. Glaciar reflects natural and artificial light exceptionally well, creating a sense of openness and airiness. Combined with light cabinetry and good lighting, it can make a meaningful difference to how spacious a kitchen feels, even in compact spaces.
Is Glaciar a cold-looking surface?
Glaciar can feel crisp and fresh rather than warm, which suits contemporary, Scandinavian, and minimalist kitchen styles perfectly. If you prefer a warmer white, consider Snow (which has warmer undertones) or Absolute Blanc (which is purely neutral). The subtle micro-texture in Glaciar softens it slightly compared to pure clinical white.
Does Glaciar stain easily because it is so light?
Not at all. Despite being one of the brightest surfaces in the range, Glaciar is completely non-porous. Coffee, red wine, turmeric, beetroot, and all common kitchen stains simply wipe clean without leaving any trace. The quartz composition prevents any liquid from being absorbed into the surface.
What splashback material works best with Glaciar?
A matching Glaciar splashback creates a seamless, unbroken white canvas behind the hob — one of the most striking contemporary kitchen looks available. Alternatively, metro tiles in white or pale grey add texture without colour competition. For contrast, a dark grey or black glass splashback creates a dramatic two-tone effect.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
