The Stone

See the natural beauty of Unique Calacatta up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

A bold Calacatta-inspired white quartz with sweeping grey veining and warm brown accents — asymmetrical movement and genuine drama across a luminous white base.

Unique Calacatta delivers the bold, flowing beauty of Italian Calacatta marble with long, sweeping grey veining that creates considerable drama and movement across a bright white base. The veining is asymmetrical and natural — concentrated darker grey formations on one side gradually open into lighter, more spacious areas on the other, giving each slab a genuine sense of geological character. Subtle warm brown and taupe undertones within the veining add depth and prevent the surface from reading as purely cool-toned. This is one of the bolder veined designs in the Compac range, designed for homeowners who want their marble-effect worktop to make a definitive visual statement. The asymmetric veining is particularly effective on kitchen islands where the gradual transition from dense to open veining creates a sense of natural rhythm. Part of the COMPAC Unique collection, manufactured in Spain from 93-95% natural quartz crystals bound with BIO-resins. Completely non-porous, stain-resistant, and backed by a 25-year residential warranty. NSF and Greenguard certified for safety and hygiene.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Unique Calacatta

What does Compac Unique Calacatta look like?
Unique Calacatta features bold, flowing grey veining with subtle warm brown accents sweeping across a bright white base. The veins are long and dramatic, with concentrated darker grey formations on one side of the slab gradually opening into more spacious, lighter areas — creating asymmetrical, natural movement that mimics the geological character of genuine Calacatta marble.
How does Unique Calacatta compare to real Calacatta marble?
Compac has studied the dramatic veining structure of authentic Italian Calacatta marble and reproduced its bold, asymmetric character in engineered quartz. The result delivers the same visual impact — long, sweeping veins with areas of concentrated drama and open white space — but without marble's porosity, staining vulnerability, and ongoing sealing requirements.
Is Unique Calacatta suitable for a kitchen island?
It is spectacular on islands. The asymmetric veining is particularly effective on large surfaces where the gradual transition from dense to open veining creates a sense of natural rhythm. The 3250 x 1500mm slab size accommodates generous island dimensions, and the veining flow creates genuine visual drama across the full expanse.
How bold is the veining in Unique Calacatta?
This is one of the bolder veined designs in the Compac range — confidently dramatic without being overwhelming. The veining has real presence and movement, making it suitable for homeowners who want their marble-effect worktop to be a definitive visual statement. If you prefer something quieter, Carrara or Unique Arabescato are gentler alternatives.
What design styles work with Unique Calacatta?
Unique Calacatta works across a broad spectrum. In a traditional kitchen with Shaker cabinetry and brass hardware, it provides classical marble grandeur. In a modern handleless kitchen, it becomes a dramatic centrepiece against clean, minimal surroundings. On a waterfall-edge island, the veining flows continuously over the edge for a truly architectural statement.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
