The Stone

See the natural beauty of Arctic up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Off-white quartz with bold cool grey diagonal veining concentrating in dramatic clusters from the Ocean collection.

Quartzforms Arctic is part of the Ocean collection — a range inspired by the power and character of maritime environments. The surface presents a soft off-white base providing a clean canvas for prominent veining. A distinct diagonal vein in cool mid-to-dark grey traverses the surface, merging into a dense intricate network of finer fractured lines and broader cloud-like formations, particularly concentrated on one side of the slab. The polished finish is smooth and reflective without visible speckling or granular texture. The overall character combines areas of subtle calm background with intensely veined zones — creating a slab with genuine visual contrast.

Arctic captures the character of polar ice — clean white expanses interrupted by deep grey fractures and concentrations of geological activity. What makes it distinctive is the uneven distribution of veining — areas of calm white sit alongside densely fractured zones, creating a surface that tells a story of natural forces rather than uniform decoration. This asymmetry is a strength, giving fabricators the ability to position the slab so the dramatic zones fall where they will have the most impact — across an island face, along a breakfast bar, or at the centre of a worktop run.

In2Stone recommends Arctic for clients who want drama with breathing room — a surface where bold veining is balanced by clean white space. The cool grey palette works with white, pale grey, and navy cabinetry, and complements chrome, brushed nickel, or matt black hardware. The polished finish reflects kitchen lighting beautifully, adding luminosity to the white zones.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Arctic

Why is the veining unevenly distributed?
Arctic's veining concentrates in certain areas while leaving others relatively clear — this mimics natural marble where geological forces create zones of intense activity alongside calmer regions. It is a design feature, not a defect, and gives your fabricator creative control over slab placement.
How does Arctic compare to Poseidon?
Both are white marble-effects with grey veining from different collections. Poseidon (Ecotone New Era) has more evenly distributed moderate veining with a web-like background pattern. Arctic (Ocean) has concentrated dramatic veining zones alongside calmer white areas — more contrast and asymmetry.
What is the Ocean collection?
The Ocean collection is inspired by maritime environments and oceanic forces. It includes Midnight (deep black), Arctic (dramatic white), Lagoon (green-veined), and Reef (rust-veined) — each capturing a different aspect of the sea's character and colour palette.
Is Arctic suitable for a small kitchen?
Yes — the off-white base keeps the space feeling bright and open, while the concentrated veining adds character without overwhelming a compact room. The polished finish reflects light, further enhancing the sense of space. In smaller kitchens, the dramatic zones create natural focal points.
Does Arctic require sealing?
No — Quartzforms quartz is non-porous and never requires sealing. This is a significant advantage over natural marble, which needs regular sealing to prevent staining. Arctic delivers a marble aesthetic with maintenance-free performance.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
