The Stone

Style:

Terrazzo Speckled Polished

Light cool grey quartz with dense angular terrazzo-like chips in grey and translucent tones from the Brazilian collection.

Quartzforms Canadian White opens the Brazilian collection — an intriguingly named pairing. The surface presents a very light cool grey base almost off-white, providing a bright foundation. Dense random angular irregular flecks and chips vary in size from very fine specks to small fragments. The inclusions are predominantly light grey and off-white with some translucent pieces and occasional subtle darker grey or warm brown-grey accents. The polished finish presents a smooth slightly reflective surface. The character is terrazzo-like — busy yet uniform and understated.

Canadian White's distinguishing feature is the angular chip shape — where many speckled surfaces have rounded or amorphous particles, Canadian White's inclusions are distinctly angular and irregular. This creates a more structured, crystalline quality that evokes crushed stone or broken ice. The predominantly grey-and-white palette with translucent pieces creates a cool, clean aesthetic — the translucent chips add luminous depth similar to MA Beige. The overall effect is of a refined natural stone aggregate — closer to real terrazzo in character than printed or uniform alternatives.

In2Stone recommends Canadian White for clients who want clean, cool terrazzo-like texture with subtle sophistication. The grey-and-white palette suits contemporary and minimalist kitchens. White cabinetry creates seamless brightness; pale grey provides tonal depth. Hardware in chrome or brushed nickel maintains the cool palette.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Canadian White

What is the Brazilian collection?
The Brazilian collection is a Quartzforms range — Canadian White sits within it despite the North American name. The collection features surfaces with distinct aggregate textures and chip compositions.
Why are angular chips different?
Angular irregular chips create a more structured, crystalline quality than rounded particles. The effect evokes crushed stone or broken ice — more geological and natural-looking. Angular shapes catch light differently at each facet, adding subtle visual complexity.
What are the translucent chips?
Some of the off-white and grey inclusions are translucent — light passes through rather than reflecting off them. Under kitchen lighting, these particles glow subtly, adding luminous depth that opaque chips cannot achieve.
How does Canadian White compare to Gritti?
Both are white-based terrazzo-effects. Gritti (Terrazzo) has larger multicoloured chips in charcoal, olive, brown, and pink — diverse and warm. Canadian White has smaller angular chips predominantly in grey and white with translucent elements — cooler and more refined.
Is the busy pattern practical?
Very practical — the dense chip pattern effectively camouflages everyday kitchen marks. The mix of grey, white, and translucent elements means neither light nor dark marks stand out. Canadian White is an excellent choice for family kitchens.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
