The surface presents a dominant pale warm grey base establishing an understated marble-effect aesthetic. Subtle random veining in soft muted warm grey ranges from fine to medium thickness, traversing the surface with gentle undulating movement. The veining is sparsely to moderately distributed in low contrast with the base. The smooth honed or lightly polished finish has a soft sheen, and the base exhibits very subtle fine granular texture on close inspection. The character is elegant, subtle, and refined.

Canova represents the pinnacle of understated sophistication in the Veined collection. Where Bernini makes a moderate visual statement, Canova barely raises its voice.
