The Stone

See the natural beauty of Canova up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Pale warm grey quartz with soft low-contrast veining and a refined honed finish from the Veined collection.

Quartzforms Canova is part of the Veined collection — named for Antonio Canova, the supreme Neoclassical sculptor. The surface presents a dominant pale warm grey base establishing an understated marble-effect aesthetic. Subtle random veining in soft muted warm grey ranges from fine to medium thickness, traversing the surface with gentle undulating movement. The veining is sparsely to moderately distributed in low contrast with the base. The smooth honed or lightly polished finish has a soft sheen, and the base exhibits very subtle fine granular texture on close inspection. The character is elegant, subtle, and refined.

Canova represents the pinnacle of understated sophistication in the Veined collection. Where Bernini makes a moderate visual statement, Canova barely raises its voice. The low contrast between the warm grey base and the slightly different warm grey veining creates a surface that is almost tonal — the veining is felt rather than seen, adding a subliminal organic quality that a flat solid colour would lack. The fine granular texture adds a physical depth that enhances the natural stone quality, and the soft honed sheen strikes the perfect balance between matt and polished.

In2Stone recommends Canova for clients who appreciate refined understatement. It works in kitchens where the overall atmosphere matters more than any single design element — where quality is communicated through material and finish rather than pattern and colour. Pale grey, white, and warm timber cabinetry complement the soft warm grey. Hardware in brushed nickel or matt black provides gentle definition.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Canova

How visible is the veining on Canova?
Very subtle — the warm grey veining is only slightly different in tone from the warm grey base, creating an almost tonal effect. The veining adds organic movement without creating obvious pattern or contrast. It is one of the most understated designs in the Quartzforms range.
Who was Antonio Canova?
Antonio Canova (1757-1822) was the greatest Neoclassical sculptor — his marble works including Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss are celebrated for their serene elegance and refined beauty. The Quartzforms surface captures this same quality of quiet, understated perfection.
Is Canova warm or cool grey?
Warm grey — the base has a subtle warmth that prevents it from feeling cold or clinical. This warmth makes Canova more inviting than cool grey alternatives and ensures it works alongside natural materials like timber and leather without colour conflict.
How does Canova compare to Interstellar Cloud?
Both are quiet, understated surfaces. Interstellar Cloud (Planet) is pale cool grey with cloud-like patches and matte finish — cooler and more atmospheric. Canova (Veined) is pale warm grey with soft veining and honed finish — warmer and more refined. Choose based on colour temperature preference.
What is the granular texture?
Very subtle fine granular texture is visible on close inspection within the warm grey base. This adds a tactile depth and natural stone quality that perfectly smooth surfaces lack. The texture is visual rather than physical — the surface remains smooth and easy to clean.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
