Colour:
Grey
Uniform mid-grey quartz with fine granular texture evoking Portland cement — industrial minimalism from the Cloudy collection.
Quartzforms Cloudy Portland Grey is part of the Cloudy collection — and its name directly references Portland cement, the building material that defines modern concrete. The surface presents a uniform mid-grey base appearing consistently solid across the entire slab. There is no discernible veining, movement, or pattern. The matte or honed finish features an extremely fine subtle granular texture evenly distributed throughout. There are no distinct speckles, flecks, or larger aggregates. The character is plain, solid, and highly understated — a uniform concrete-like appearance.
Cloudy Portland Grey is the most architectural surface in the Cloudy collection. The mid-grey tone, uniform appearance, and fine granular texture create an almost perfect concrete analogue — it reads as polished concrete without any of concrete's practical disadvantages. The Portland cement reference is deliberate: this surface is for clients who love the industrial aesthetic of cast concrete but need the non-porous, maintenance-free, and food-safe performance of engineered quartz. The matte finish completes the illusion, eliminating any reflective quality that would betray the material as something other than concrete.
In2Stone recommends Cloudy Portland Grey for industrial, brutalist, and contemporary kitchens where concrete would be the ideal material if it were practical for worktops. It pairs with exposed steel, raw timber, and matt black hardware for an authentic industrial aesthetic. White cabinetry provides clean contrast; charcoal creates tonal depth. The uniform mid-grey works with warm and cool schemes equally.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in.
