The Stone

See the natural beauty of Goldoni up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Beige White Brown

Style:

Terrazzo Speckled Polished

Warm grey-beige terrazzo-effect quartz with diverse multicoloured aggregate in white, brown, orange, and pink tones.

Quartzforms Goldoni is part of the Terrazzo collection — named for Carlo Goldoni, Venice's greatest playwright. The surface presents a dominant pale warm grey-beige base densely patterned with a random distribution of angular and rounded aggregate chips ranging from very fine flecks to medium-sized fragments. These inclusions showcase a diverse palette — bright white, translucent off-white, light grey, warm brown, burnt orange, and soft pink. The smooth subtly reflective finish suggests a polished or honed texture. The overall character is bold, highly decorative terrazzo-effect.

Goldoni distinguishes itself from Gritti and Fenice through its warm grey-beige base — where the other terrazzo designs use bright white as their foundation, Goldoni introduces warmth at the base level. This creates a fundamentally different atmosphere: where Gritti and Fenice feel fresh and crisp, Goldoni feels warm and earthy. The aggregate palette reinforces this warmth with burnt orange, warm brown, and soft pink fragments that harmonise with the beige base. The bright white and translucent chips provide contrast and lightness within the warm scheme.

In2Stone recommends Goldoni for clients who want terrazzo character with genuine warmth. The grey-beige base pairs naturally with warm cabinetry — timber, cream, taupe, and sage green all complement the earthy palette. Hardware in brushed brass or antique bronze echoes the warm tones. Goldoni creates kitchen atmospheres that feel lived-in and inviting rather than clinical — the kind of surface that makes you want to cook.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Goldoni

How does the warm base change the terrazzo look?
The grey-beige base gives Goldoni a fundamentally warmer character than white-based terrazzo designs. The aggregate chips relate to the warm base rather than contrasting against cool white, creating a more cohesive, earthy aesthetic. It feels like natural stone terrazzo from a historic Italian interior.
Who was Carlo Goldoni?
Carlo Goldoni (1707-1793) was Venice's most celebrated playwright, known for reforming Italian comedy and creating works that captured the everyday life of Venetians. The Quartzforms surface shares his warmth and liveliness — a design with genuine character and personality.
What makes the aggregate chips colourful?
The chips include bright white, translucent off-white, light grey, warm brown, burnt orange, and soft pink — a palette that creates genuine visual richness. The diversity of colours means the surface shifts subtly as light changes, with different chip colours catching attention at different angles.
Is Goldoni suitable for a traditional kitchen?
Excellent choice — the warm grey-beige base and diverse aggregate create a surface with heritage character that suits traditional, Mediterranean, and rustic kitchen designs. It works beautifully alongside painted timber cabinetry, Belfast sinks, and traditional range cookers.
How does Goldoni compare to Gritti?
Both are multicoloured terrazzo designs with similar chip diversity. The key difference is the base — Gritti has a bright white base creating a fresh, crisp character. Goldoni has a warm grey-beige base creating an earthy, inviting character. Choose Gritti for brightness; Goldoni for warmth.

"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
