The Stone

See the natural beauty of Michelangelo up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Cool off-white quartz with soft light greige veining and a subtly reflective polished finish from the Veined collection.

Quartzforms Michelangelo is part of the Veined collection — named for the Renaissance master who sculpted marble into transcendent forms. The surface presents a cool off-white base with a smooth subtly reflective finish. Moderate density fine to medium irregular veining in soft light greige tones meanders randomly and subtly across the slab. There is no visible speckling or granular texture. The character is understated, subtle, and sophisticated — a marble-effect that prioritises elegance over drama.

Michelangelo captures the spirit of the Italian marble tradition that its namesake worked within — the cool white base and soft greige veining evoke the Carrara and Statuario marbles of Tuscany. The veining is deliberately understated, creating gentle organic movement that feels natural without demanding attention. The greige vein tones — that perfect blend of grey and beige — ensure the surface reads as warm enough to feel inviting while cool enough to feel refined. The subtly reflective finish adds a gentle luminosity without the high drama of a full mirror polish.

In2Stone recommends Michelangelo for clients who want a classic Italian marble aesthetic with contemporary restraint. It works across every kitchen style from traditional to modern, pairing with white, cream, grey, and timber cabinetry without friction. The versatile greige veining bridges warm and cool schemes. Hardware in any finish complements — from traditional chrome to warm brushed brass. Michelangelo is a surface for clients who value timeless elegance over trend.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Michelangelo

What is greige veining?
Greige sits precisely between grey and beige — a warm neutral that avoids committing to either direction. Michelangelo's greige veining adapts to surrounding colours, reading warmer alongside cool elements and cooler alongside warm elements. This makes it one of the most versatile vein colours available.
How does Michelangelo compare to Lasa?
Both are understated white marble-effects. Lasa (Ecotone New Era) has cool grey veining with cloud-like background movement — cooler and more atmospheric. Michelangelo (Veined) has greige veining with a subtly reflective finish — warmer and more polished. Lasa is the sustainable choice; Michelangelo is the classic one.
Is Michelangelo named after the artist?
Yes — Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) worked extensively with Italian marble, creating masterpieces including the David and the Pietà. The Quartzforms surface honours this tradition with a design that captures the cool elegance and artistic refinement of Italian white marble.
Does Michelangelo work in a modern kitchen?
Absolutely — the clean lines, subtle veining, and refined finish suit contemporary kitchens perfectly. The understated marble-effect provides warmth and character without competing with modern architectural elements. It bridges traditional and contemporary design more effectively than bold veined alternatives.
Is the finish polished or semi-polished?
Subtly reflective — not a full mirror polish but enough sheen to catch light gently and add luminosity. This mid-range finish is practical (fewer visible fingerprints than high-gloss) while maintaining enough reflectivity to enhance the marble-effect quality.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
