The Stone

See the natural beauty of Reef up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

White Brown Red

Pale off-white quartz with bold reddish-brown diagonal veining creating a vivid marble-effect from the Ocean collection.

Quartzforms Reef is part of the Ocean collection — and it delivers one of the most visually arresting colour combinations in the Quartzforms range. The surface presents a very pale off-white base with subtle faint greyish clouding providing soft background texture. A prominent bold diagonal vein in rich reddish-brown or rust traverses the slab, from which a dense network of medium to fine thread-like veins branch and spread in a random web-like pattern. The polished finish reflects light gently with no apparent speckling or granular texture, and the overall character is a dramatic marble-effect combining a classic white base with a vivid and striking vein colour.

Reef takes its name from coral formations — and the reddish-brown veining genuinely evokes the warm, iron-rich colours of underwater mineral deposits and oxidised coral structures. What makes Reef exceptional is the colour of its veining — reddish-brown veining on a white base is extraordinarily rare in the quartz market, where almost every manufacturer defaults to grey, black, or gold. This rarity gives Reef a genuine exclusivity that grey-veined alternatives simply cannot match. The branching web-like vein structure adds organic complexity, creating a surface that rewards close inspection.

In2Stone recommends Reef for clients with confidence in their design choices — this is a surface that makes a clear statement. The reddish-brown veining pairs naturally with warm timber, terracotta, and leather accents, and complements hardware in brushed copper, antique brass, or bronze. White and cream cabinetry lets the veining take centre stage; darker timber creates a rich, layered atmosphere.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Reef

What colour is the veining?
Rich reddish-brown or rust — a warm, iron-oxide-like tone that stands out vividly against the pale white base. It is closer to terracotta or oxidised copper than to standard brown. The colour is bold and distinctive, making Reef one of the most unusual marble-effect quartz surfaces available.
Is reddish-brown veining common in quartz?
Very uncommon — the vast majority of marble-effect quartz uses grey, black, or gold veining. Reddish-brown veining gives Reef a genuine rarity in the market. Clients who choose Reef can be confident their kitchen worktop will look different from the standard grey-veined alternatives.
What design styles suit Reef?
Warm contemporary, Mediterranean, and rustic luxury kitchens complement Reef's warm vein colour. The reddish-brown tones work with terracotta, warm timber, and natural materials. It also works in minimalist white kitchens where the bold veining provides the single design statement.
How does Reef compare to Avalon?
Both feature reddish-brown tones but from opposite perspectives. Avalon has a deep reddish-brown BASE with off-white veining — dark and dramatic. Reef has a white BASE with reddish-brown VEINING — bright and striking. Reef is the lighter, brighter option; Avalon is the darker, more immersive one.
Does the rust colour affect durability?
Not at all — the colour is created by UV-stabilised pigments within the quartz manufacturing process, not by actual iron oxide or rust. The surface is non-porous, stain-resistant, and backed by the Quartzforms 25-year warranty regardless of colour.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
