The Stone

See the natural beauty of Sienna up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Deep espresso brown quartz with crisp white veining and coppery-gold shimmer from the Ecotone New Era collection.

Quartzforms Sienna is part of the Ecotone New Era sustainable collection — and it stands alongside Crono and Avalon as one of the most dramatic surfaces in the range. The slab presents a deep espresso brown base bordering on black with clear warm undertones. Crisp predominantly diagonal white veining traverses the surface in fine to medium thicknesses. Beneath the prominent white veins, a subtle granular texture composed of fine irregular clusters and speckles in a warm coppery-gold to light brown hue adds depth and subtle shimmer. The polished finish creates a reflective quality that enhances the layered complexity.

Sienna — named for the Tuscan city renowned for its rich burnt-orange earth pigments — draws on Italian warmth in its deepest form. The espresso base is genuinely warm rather than cold or neutral, and the coppery-gold granular texture beneath the surface adds a dimension that flat dark colours simply cannot offer. When light catches the surface at certain angles, this metallic shimmer gives the stone an almost volcanic quality — as if warm mineral deposits are embedded within the dark base. The crisp white veining provides clean graphic contrast, preventing the darkness from becoming monolithic.

In2Stone recommends Sienna for clients who want dark drama with genuine warmth and tactile depth. The espresso-gold palette pairs naturally with timber, leather, and warm metallic finishes — brushed bronze, copper, and antique brass all resonate with the coppery shimmer. White or cream cabinetry provides the most striking contrast; dark charcoal creates a tonal, moody atmosphere.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Sienna

What creates the shimmer effect in Sienna?
The shimmer comes from fine irregular clusters and speckles in warm coppery-gold to light brown tones embedded within the dark base. These catch light at certain angles, creating a subtle metallic depth beneath the more prominent white veining. It is a layered, complex visual effect.
How does Sienna differ from Crono?
Both are dark dramatic surfaces. Crono has a pure black base with bold white veining and golden-bronze undertone veining. Sienna has a warmer espresso-brown base with white veining plus coppery-gold granular shimmer. Sienna feels warmer; Crono feels more graphic and high-contrast.
Is Sienna named after the Italian city?
Yes — Siena (spelled with one 'n' in Italian) is the Tuscan city famous for its rich earth pigments and warm terracotta architecture. The Quartzforms name evokes that same warmth and richness, translated into a deep, sophisticated quartz surface.
What lighting works best with Sienna?
Warm-toned lighting enhances Sienna's warm brown base and brings out the coppery shimmer. Under-cabinet LED strips in warm white create beautiful effects, highlighting the veining and shimmer simultaneously. Avoid very cool white lighting that may suppress the warm undertones.
Does Sienna require special maintenance?
No — like all Quartzforms quartz, Sienna is non-porous and needs no sealing. Clean with warm water and mild soap. The polished dark surface may show fingerprints under directional lighting, but a microfibre cloth wipe keeps it pristine. The 25-year warranty applies.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
