Concrete Effect Industrial Matte Finish

Light to mid cool grey quartz with mottled concrete-effect texture — a committed, atmospheric industrial surface.

Sempre Concrete Terreno commits fully to the industrial concrete aesthetic. Its light to mid cool grey base is permeated by dense, organic mottled movement — broad diffuse patches of lighter pale grey and slightly deeper cool grey create an understated cloudy effect across the entire surface. A very fine, consistent granular texture of minute darker grey speckles is embedded throughout. The matte, honed finish eliminates reflectivity, reinforcing the raw, honest character. Concrete Terreno feels like weathered, atmospheric concrete — the kind found in architectural interiors and gallery spaces. The cloudy mottling gives it a moody, lived-in quality that solid grey surfaces lack. Manufactured by AKG Surfaces in the Sempre range with a 25-year warranty. Available in jumbo 3200 × 1600mm slabs with 20mm or 30mm thicknesses. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Concrete Terreno

What does Sempre Concrete Terreno look like?
Concrete Terreno has a light to mid cool grey base with dense, organic mottled movement — broad patches of lighter and deeper grey create a cloudy effect. Very fine, consistent granular speckling of minute darker grey particles is embedded throughout. The matte finish has no reflectivity. It reads as weathered, atmospheric concrete with genuine depth and character.
How does Concrete Terreno compare to Cemento Matte?
Cemento Matte is lighter with an off-white base and warmer grey mottling — it's a hybrid between concrete and marble. Concrete Terreno is darker with a cool grey base and more committed concrete character — purely industrial and atmospheric. Choose Cemento for brightness and versatility; choose Terreno for committed industrial character.
Is the matte finish practical?
Very practical for daily use. The matte finish shows fewer fingerprints and water spots than polished surfaces. The mottled grey pattern disguises crumbs and minor marks extremely well. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. The mid-grey tone is one of the most forgiving colours for hiding everyday kitchen wear.
What design elements pair with Concrete Terreno?
The industrial character pairs naturally with matt black hardware, exposed steel shelving, raw timber, concrete-effect flooring, and industrial pendant lighting. White or very dark cabinetry both work well — white for contrast and brightness, dark for a moody, enveloping scheme. Avoid ornate or traditional elements that would fight the raw aesthetic.
Can Concrete Terreno be used throughout a kitchen?
Yes — worktops, splashbacks, and even kitchen islands in Concrete Terreno create a seamless industrial aesthetic. The mottled pattern ensures large expanses don't look monotonous. Using the same surface on horizontal and vertical planes creates architectural continuity that's particularly effective in open-plan kitchen-living spaces.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
