The Stone

See the natural beauty of Et Noir up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Deep matte black base with bold white and gold-bronze veining in a high-contrast dramatic marble statement.

Silestone Et Noir takes the marble-effect concept to its most dramatic expression. A deep matte black base with fine granular texture provides the canvas for striking veining in two distinct tones — crisp bright white and warm metallic gold-bronze. One bold, elongated vein traverses diagonally across the slab, while numerous thinner vertical and diagonal lines create an intricate supporting network. The vein thickness ranges from fine threads to medium widths, and the two-tone colour adds a complexity that single-colour veining cannot achieve. The matte finish is a deliberate choice that prevents the dark base from becoming a mirror, allowing the white and gold-bronze veining to command all the visual attention. The high contrast between the near-black base and the luminous veining creates genuine drama — this is not a surface for the faint-hearted. Et Noir channels the aesthetic of Nero Marquina and Port Laurent marble simultaneously, delivering dual-tone impact with engineered consistency. Part of Silestone's Eternal collection, manufactured in Almería, Spain with Hybriq+® technology. Minimum 20% recycled content, 100% renewable energy. Non-porous, stain-resistant, acid-resistant. Available in jumbo 327 × 159 cm slabs with a 25-year warranty. Installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Et Noir

What does Silestone Et Noir look like in person?
Et Noir is a deep matte black with striking veining in two tones — bright white and warm metallic gold-bronze. The veining ranges from one bold diagonal formation to finer thread-like lines. The matte finish keeps the black base rich and non-reflective, making the lighter veining the focal point. In person, the gold-bronze tones shimmer subtly while the white veining provides sharp contrast.
What kitchen design suits Et Noir?
Et Noir demands a bold design approach. It works as a dramatic island surface against lighter surrounding cabinetry — white, pale grey, or cream cabinets provide essential contrast and prevent the kitchen feeling too dark. Alternatively, in a large open-plan space, dark cabinets with the dramatic worktop can create a seriously luxurious mood. Gold or brass hardware echoes the warm tones in the veining.
Does the matte black finish show fingerprints?
The matte finish is far more practical than a polished black surface for hiding fingerprints and water marks. The fine granular texture disguises minor surface marks effectively. However, like any dark surface, lighter residue such as flour or limescale deposits will show more visibly than on a light worktop. Regular wiping keeps it pristine.
Where is Et Noir manufactured?
Et Noir is manufactured by Cosentino at their facility in Almería, Spain using Hybriq+® technology. The composition includes minimum 20% recycled materials and production uses 100% renewable electricity. The dual-tone veining is achieved through mineral pigments embedded within the composition — not surface-applied.
How should I clean Et Noir day to day?
Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent, then buff dry to prevent water spots on the dark surface. The matte finish is more forgiving than polished black, but a final dry buff keeps it looking its best. For stubborn marks, use a non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid scouring pads that could smooth out the matte texture.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
