The Stone

See the natural beauty of Argento up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Grey Taupe Brown

Light cool grey quartz with dense warm taupe cloud-like veining — a subtly busy, tonally warm marble surface.

Unistone Argento wraps warm, atmospheric veining around a cool grey base. Its light cool grey base is densely patterned with intricate random veining ranging from fine threads to slightly broader organic formations. The veins are a soft warm grey-brown or taupe, creating a gentle contrast and cloud-like movement across the surface. The matte or honed finish has no discernible reflections or granular texture. Argento (Italian for 'silver') has more warmth than its name suggests — the taupe-toned veining adds a warmth that prevents the grey base from feeling cold. The dense, busy pattern creates a surface that's constantly interesting. Manufactured by Brachot with Through Tone Technology. Over 90% natural quartz, NSF certified. 15-year warranty. Available in standard and jumbo slab formats. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Argento

What does Unistone Argento look like?
Argento has a light cool grey base densely patterned with intricate random veining in soft warm grey-brown or taupe. The veining ranges from fine threads to broader organic formations with cloud-like movement. The matte finish has no reflections. It's a subtly busy marble-effect where warm taupe veining enriches a cool grey base.
What does Argento mean?
Argento is Italian for 'silver' — referencing the cool grey base colour. However, the warm taupe veining gives Argento more warmth than pure silver. This interplay between the cool grey base and warm taupe veining is Argento's defining quality — it bridges cool and warm palettes.
How does Argento compare to Arabescato Corchia?
Both are densely veined designs, but they differ in colour and base. Arabescato Corchia has a light cream base with warm grey veining — it's warmer overall. Argento has a cool grey base with taupe veining — the contrast between cool base and warm veining creates a more complex tonal interplay. Corchia is uniformly warm; Argento is warm-meets-cool.
Is the busy pattern suitable for large areas?
Yes — the dense, intricate pattern maintains visual interest across large worktop runs and islands without becoming overwhelming. The fine scale of the veining prevents it from looking chaotic. The consistent density ensures different areas of the worktop look cohesive even with a busy pattern.
Does the matte finish affect the pattern?
The matte finish softens the taupe veining slightly compared to a polished version, creating a more atmospheric, understated quality. If you want the veining to appear more defined and dramatic, the polished finish sharpens the contrast. The Velluto option adds a velvet warmth that further enhances the taupe tones.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
