The Stone

See the natural beauty of Cendre up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Light warm greige quartz with fine uniform aggregate texture — a calm, consistent solid surface.

Unistone Cendre captures the essence of warm grey simplicity. Its consistent light warm greige base carries no veining or directional movement — just a very fine, evenly distributed granular pattern of minute flecks slightly lighter and darker than the base colour. The homogeneous, non-reflective matte or honed finish completes the calm, resolved character. Cendre (French for 'ash') references the warm, grey-beige colour of fine wood ash — a warm neutral that works as the foundation for virtually any kitchen scheme. It's the quietest, most grounding design in the Unistone range. Manufactured by Brachot with Through Tone Technology. Over 90% natural quartz, NSF certified. 15-year warranty. Available in standard and jumbo slab formats. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Cendre

What does Unistone Cendre look like?
Cendre is a consistent light warm greige with no veining or movement. The surface has a very fine, evenly distributed granular texture of minute lighter and darker flecks. The matte finish is non-reflective. It reads as a calm, warm neutral solid — like fine wood ash or natural cement with a warm tone.
What does the name Cendre mean?
Cendre is French for 'ash' — referencing the warm grey-beige colour of fine wood ash. The name perfectly captures the surface's warm, natural, understated character. It's a colour that feels organic and grounding without referencing any specific stone type.
How does Cendre compare to Grigio?
Both are solid, non-veined designs, but in opposite tones. Grigio is dark charcoal grey — dramatic and statement-making. Cendre is light warm greige — soft and grounding. Grigio absorbs light; Cendre reflects it gently. Grigio is bold; Cendre is calm. They represent the two extremes of Unistone's solid colour range.
What kitchen styles suit Cendre?
The warm greige suits virtually any kitchen style — it's one of the most universally adaptable worktop colours. Contemporary, Scandinavian, farmhouse, and transitional kitchens all benefit from its quiet warmth. It pairs with white, cream, grey, timber, and bold cabinetry colours. Both warm and cool hardware finishes work.
Is the fine aggregate texture noticeable?
The minute flecks are visible up close but from a distance Cendre reads as a smooth, uniform greige surface. The fine texture adds subtle depth and natural character — it prevents the surface from looking flat or artificial. It's a detail that rewards close observation while maintaining calm uniformity at normal viewing distance.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
