The Stone

See the natural beauty of Taj Mahal up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Pale off-white quartz with dense grey and beige fractured banding — a richly textured natural stone surface.

Unistone Taj Mahal creates a surface with genuine geological richness. Its pale off-white base is extensively covered by dense, busy banding of medium to broad fractured and wavy formations flowing diagonally in contrasting shades of warm mid-grey and soft pale beige. A noticeable granular or finely speckled texture runs across the entire surface, adding tactile depth. The polished finish brings out the contrast between the grey and beige banding. Taj Mahal sits between marble and granite aesthetics — the flowing bands suggest marble movement, while the granular texture and busy density give it a more mineral, granite-like quality. It's one of the most texturally complex designs in the Unistone range. Manufactured by Brachot with Through Tone Technology. Over 90% natural quartz, NSF certified. 15-year warranty. Available in standard and jumbo slab formats. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Taj Mahal

What does Unistone Taj Mahal look like?
Taj Mahal has a pale off-white base extensively covered by dense fractured and wavy banding in warm mid-grey and soft pale beige. A fine granular texture is visible across the entire surface. The polished finish brings out the contrast. It reads as a richly textured natural stone — somewhere between marble and granite, detailed and busy.
Is Taj Mahal a marble or granite design?
It's a hybrid that borrows from both. The flowing, wavy banding suggests marble movement, while the dense, busy pattern and granular surface texture give it more of a granite-like mineral quality. This dual character makes it suitable for kitchens that want natural stone richness without committing to either a pure marble or granite aesthetic.
Does the granular texture affect cleaning?
The fine granular texture is visual rather than deeply physical — the surface is still smooth and easy to clean with warm water and mild detergent. The busy, textured pattern is actually one of the most practical designs for hiding everyday marks. Crumbs and water spots virtually disappear against the dense grey-and-beige pattern.
What cabinetry suits Taj Mahal?
The warm grey-and-beige palette pairs naturally with cream, warm grey, and natural timber cabinetry. Brushed bronze or antique brass hardware complements the warm tones. For contrast, dark walnut or espresso units create a rich, layered scheme. The busy, textured surface works best with simple, clean cabinetry that doesn't compete visually.
How does this compare to the Sempre Taj Mahal?
They share a name but are entirely different designs from different manufacturers. The Sempre version is a translucent, gemstone-like surface with cloud formations. The Unistone version is a densely textured, busy stone design with grey-and-beige banding. They appeal to very different aesthetic preferences despite the shared name.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
