The Stone

See the natural beauty of Blue Roma up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartzite unique.

Colour:

Green Grey Copper

A different expression of Blue Roma — this slab reveals deeper mint-green translucency with bolder copper-bronze branching veins.

This polished variant of Blue Roma quartzite showcases the remarkable natural variation that makes quartzite so special. Cut from a different section of the same Brazilian quarry block, this slab reveals more of the stone's mint-green and silver-grey transparency, with particularly prominent copper-bronze branching veins tracing organic tree-like patterns across the luminous surface. The effect is like looking through tinted glass into a mineral forest. Like all Blue Roma quartzite — also known as Roma Blue or Imperial Blue — this variant carries the same excellent physical properties: density of 2.7-2.8 g/cm³, low water absorption, and Mohs 7 hardness. The low porosity provides natural resistance to bacteria and mould, making it a hygienic choice for kitchen installations. Each slab within the Blue Roma family varies in its balance of green-to-blue tones and the intensity of its copper veining. At In2stone, we always encourage customers to view individual slabs before making their final selection, especially with stones as variable and characterful as Blue Roma. Our stonemasons can advise on how different slab selections will translate to the finished installation — ensuring your chosen piece creates exactly the effect you're imagining.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Blue Roma

How does this Blue Roma slab differ from the standard Blue Roma?
This slab cut reveals more of Blue Roma's mint-green and silver-grey base with particularly prominent copper-bronze branching veins. The standard Blue Roma may show more blue tones. This natural variation is what makes quartzite special — each slab within the same quarry block has its own unique balance of colour and veining.
Why do quartzite slabs from the same stone vary so much?
Quartzite forms over millions of years through intense geological processes. Even within the same quarry block, mineral composition, pressure, and temperature vary slightly — resulting in natural colour and pattern differences between slabs. This is why we always recommend viewing your specific slabs before purchasing.
Can I choose my specific Blue Roma slab?
Yes — In2stone encourages slab selection for exotic stones like Blue Roma. We can help arrange viewing of available slabs so you can choose the exact piece that matches your vision. With stones that vary this much between cuts, seeing the real slab makes all the difference to your final satisfaction.
Is this Blue Roma variant suitable for kitchen worktops?
Absolutely. It carries the same excellent properties as all Blue Roma quartzite — Mohs 7 hardness, low porosity, natural bacteria resistance, and exceptional durability. The translucent mint-green beauty is fully backed by genuine kitchen-grade performance.
What edge profiles work best with Blue Roma quartzite?
Simple, clean edge profiles (straight, eased, or pencil round) tend to complement Blue Roma's elegant, jewel-like character best, allowing the stone's natural beauty to take centre stage. More ornate profiles can work too — our stonemasons can show you options and recommend what suits your kitchen design.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
