The Stone

See the natural beauty of Cinza up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Charcoal Grey White

Dark charcoal grey quartz with delicate light grey web-like veining — a sophisticated dark marble surface.

Unistone Cinza inverts the typical marble formula — pale veining on a dramatically dark base. Its very dark charcoal grey base provides a deep, rich background for fine to medium-thickness veining in light cool grey or off-white, distributed randomly in a delicate web-like pattern at moderate density. The polished or semi-polished finish has a subtle sheen without speckling or coarse granular texture. Cinza (Portuguese for 'ash') captures the dark, atmospheric quality of carbon-rich stone. The light veining against the dark base creates a sophisticated inversion of classic marble — it has the same organic movement but in reverse contrast. Manufactured by Brachot with Through Tone Technology. Over 90% natural quartz, NSF certified. 15-year warranty. Available in standard and jumbo slab formats. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Cinza

What does Unistone Cinza look like?
Cinza has a very dark charcoal grey base with fine to medium veining in light cool grey or off-white forming a delicate web-like pattern. The polished finish has a subtle sheen. It's a sophisticated dark marble-effect — an inversion of the typical pale base with dark veining, creating a moody, atmospheric surface.
What does the name Cinza mean?
Cinza is Portuguese for 'ash' — referencing the deep, carbon-rich grey colour of the base. The name captures the surface's dark, elemental quality. Portuguese stone heritage adds an authentic connection to European marble traditions.
How does Cinza compare to Grigio?
Grigio is a solid dark grey with no pattern — pure, unbroken colour. Cinza has a similarly dark base but adds delicate light grey web-like veining that creates marble character. Grigio is architectural minimalism; Cinza is dark marble sophistication. The veining gives Cinza more visual interest and natural stone character.
Does dark quartz need special care?
Dark surfaces benefit from slightly more frequent wiping to keep dust and water marks invisible. Use warm water and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that might dull the finish. The non-porous quartz won't stain — dark surfaces are functionally identical to light ones, just more revealing of surface dust.
What cabinetry pairs with Cinza?
White or pale grey cabinetry creates striking contrast with the dark worktop. For a more dramatic, enveloping scheme, dark cabinetry with Cinza creates a moody, immersive kitchen. Brushed brass or gold hardware glows beautifully against the charcoal base. Adequate lighting is important — under-cabinet lights showcase the delicate veining.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
