The Stone

See the natural beauty of Thunder Blue up close — the surface texture, colour depth, and veining that make this quartz unique.

Colour:

Blue Grey Charcoal

Dusty blue quartz with dense fractured blue-grey crystalline veining — a bold, strikingly coloured natural stone surface.

Unistone Thunder Blue is the most chromatically daring design in the Unistone collection. Its dominant mid-tone dusty blue base is covered by a dense, highly intricate pattern of random fractured veining with no clear directional flow. The veins range from fine threads to broader irregular patches in darker muted blue-grey and charcoal, intermingled with lighter paler cool blue areas, creating a complex web-like appearance with a fragmented, almost crystalline impression. The polished or semi-polished finish reflects light smoothly, enhancing the complex blue tonal depth. Thunder Blue resembles heavily fractured natural stone — perhaps a blue-toned granite or a fractured sodalite-like mineral. It's a design that completely transforms any kitchen it enters. Manufactured by Brachot with Through Tone Technology. Over 90% natural quartz, NSF certified. 15-year warranty. Supplied and installed by In2Stone across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked

Questions About Thunder Blue

What does Unistone Thunder Blue look like?
Thunder Blue has a dusty blue base covered by dense, intricate fractured veining in darker blue-grey and charcoal with lighter pale blue areas. The random web-like pattern has a crystalline, almost mineral quality. The polished finish enhances the blue tonal depth. It's a bold, complex, strikingly blue natural stone surface.
Is the blue colour suitable for a kitchen?
Blue is increasingly popular in kitchen design — it's calming, sophisticated, and works as both a feature surface and a design anchor. Thunder Blue's dusty, muted tone is more restrained than bright blue, making it genuinely liveable. It pairs particularly well with white, grey, and natural timber cabinetry.
What creates the crystalline impression?
The dense, fractured veining pattern with multiple blue tones creates a fragmented, mineral-like quality — it looks like crystallised stone rather than flowing marble. The interplay of darker and lighter blue areas within the fracture pattern suggests genuine geological complexity, like looking at a cross-section of crystalline rock.
What cabinetry suits Thunder Blue?
White cabinetry creates fresh, coastal contrast. Natural timber adds warmth against the cool blue. Dark charcoal or navy creates a moody, enveloping scheme. Brushed chrome or matt black hardware suits the cool palette. For a bold statement, Thunder Blue on an island with white cabinetry around the perimeter creates a striking feature.
How does Through Tone Technology benefit a blue surface?
Through Tone Technology is crucial for a distinctive colour like blue. The complex blue-toned pattern runs through the entire slab thickness, so exposed edges and waterfall features maintain the same blue character. Without this technology, cut edges would show a generic white or grey quartz core that would clash dramatically with the blue surface.
★★★★★
"Excellent Service and Beautiful Results - Highly Recommended! I recently had In2stone install new quartz worktops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was completely stress-free. The team was not only competitively priced but also incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly - removing the existing sink, hob, and old laminate worktops before fitting the new quartz surfaces. The finished worktops are absolutely beautiful and have transformed my kitchen into a modern, minimalist space that I love spending time in. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows. I'm a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend In2stone to anyone considering new worktops. Well done to the entire team - you've exceeded my expectations!"
